Shop Effuse Collection
There are places where the earth holds a quiet intensity — dark mountains, warmth beneath the ground, stillness holding movement within.
Effuse is inspired by this meeting of opposites: darkness and light, strength and softness, stillness and movement.
A collection shaped by the idea that beauty often exists in the tension between things that seem to contradict each other.

Over time, I found myself drawn
not just to objects,
but to what they do to us.
The way way a space can soften you. Or energise you. Or hold you still.
It made me realise -
what we live with is never neutral. It quietly shapes how we feel, how we move, how we experience life.
And House of Arah began from that awareness.

Every material tells a different story.
We work with Central Provinces teak, or Sangwan — a resilient wood valued for its warmth, natural character and ability to age beautifully.
No two grains are the same. And as teak changes with time, each piece becomes a little more its own.
The beauty of teak isn’t that it stays the same. It’s that it never does.
Process
Where feeling slowly finds form
01
Observe
We begin in stillness - quietly observing what exists, what is needed, and what your space asks of you.
04
Materialise
We work with wood as it is, allowing its grain, depth, and character to guide the process.
02
Feel
A sense of movement begins - an emotion takes shape, subtle yet full of intent.
05
Refine
Clarity emerges as we remove the excess, leaving behind only what feels essential.
03
Interpret
Ideas deepen and unfold, finding expression through story, form and quiet meaning.
06
Belong
The piece settles - becoming part of your space, your rhythm, your way of being.
Before it reaches you.
One object goes through Many hands.
You see the object. We see everything that went into it.

01
It starts with the right piece.

02
Then it takes shape.

03
Adding character.

04
Sanding layer by layer.

05
Use French polish to make the piece alive.
